Random word generator

One of my favourite ways to get ideas for short stories – randomly selecting interesting words.

I’ve just found a great program on the web that means I don’t have to drag my massive Collins Dictionary off the shelf!

I’m a professional writer – newspapers, magazines, fiction and non-fiction books including crime novels, short stories and poems – and now live in Brixham having spent most of my life in the Midlands. I’m always happy to give talks (no fee required) to fellow writers. Samples subjects are: Could you be a writer? An insight into a writer’s life, and essential tips on becoming a writer yourself. Poetry – writing poetry and getting it published Writing a novel – can anyone write a best-seller? Short stories and romantic fiction – tips on how to get started and be successful. Freelance writing – making money writing for newspapers and magazines. If you would like me to give a talk (they include a Q and A session) to your group, please email and we can fix a date. Or call me on 01803 856201.
    Regards, Nick Fletcher

    Many thanks Nick.
That sounds absolutely fab. How much would you charge for a 1.5 hour slot? Unfortunately we run the U3A groups for non-profit (in my case, slight loss!), so there is little money for anything other than hall hire. However, I could put it to my group that we could fund such a session as a ‘special event’ and thereby share the extra cost between us.
